A Message From the County Clerk

Welcome to the Boyd County Clerk's Web site. My duties are many - including the titling and registration of motor vehicles, voter registration, conducting fair and open elections, issuing marriage licenses, and Notary Public bonds. This office is also responsible for the issuance of fishing and hunting licenses, collection of delinquent property taxes, as well as personal tax on motor vehicles.

I am very committed to providing you with the most efficient and effective service possible, while maintaining the public records. The office now is equipped to accept debit and credit cards for all tranmsactions. My deputies, along with myself, are certified to inspect all out of state vehicles. I have opened the Kyova Mall Branch on all Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. The Ashland Branch on 16th Street is open the first and last Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:00 Noon.
